Ocean Acidification

Learn about ocean acidification with this exercise from the Exploratorium "Snacks" catalog.  

We recommend doing the first part of this experiment with the shell and vinegar.  

We think the rest of the experiment is interesting to read about, but the chemicals are expensive and not easy to use safely. Maybe ask your chemistry teacher to help if you want to try the whole exercise. Chemistry labs have the materials required and they also have goggles and gloves to keep everyone safe!
